Instagram Data Shows World's Most Beautiful Beaches

Many people use Instagram for travel inspiration. With this in mind, a UK website has published a list of the world's most beautiful beaches by using data from over 26 million Instagram hashtags.

The team at Money.co.uk researched some of the most popular beaches in the world, then used the distance calculator on Google Maps to check their lengths. By searching through Instagram hashtags, they were able to find out how many photos were taken at each beach. They then divided that number by the length of the beach to calculate how many pictures were shared per meter.

The beaches with the most Instagram posts per meter, as of June 2021, were called the most beautiful. Here are the top three results:

Bali's Kelingking Beach is at the top of the list. There were over 338,000 photos of this beach on Instagram in June. And with its bright blue waters and beautiful cliffs, it's easy to understand why!

In second place is Bondi Beach, which is located just 7 kilometers from central Sydney and is visited by thousands of people every day. Bondi actually had almost 1.8 million photos, but since it's more than 10 times longer than 80-meter Kelingking Beach, it had far fewer photos per meter.

Railay Beach, surrounded by hills and caves, was once a quiet fishing village, but is now one of the most popular beaches in Thailand. There are no roads here, so the only way to get to this 450-meter white-sand beach is by boat.
