B: What about a firewoman? That would be even harder!

A: Sure, any job where you have to fight fires would be difficult.

B: I think that is why we call them “firefighters” now.

A: Is that because both men and women can do that job?

B: Yes, it sounds fairer.

A: I guess that’s why we say “police officer” instead of policeman?

B: Right. It’s probably for the same reason.
