Ethiopia is one of the oldest countries in the world. It has a history of thousands of years. Many people believe that Ethiopia is the birthplace of early humans. The country has its own alphabet and calendar, which are different from many other countries.

Ethiopian culture is rich and colorful. One important tradition is the coffee ceremony. Coffee actually comes from Ethiopia. During the ceremony, people roast coffee beans, make fresh coffee, and share it with family and friends. It is a time to relax and talk together.

Food is also an important part of Ethiopian life. A famous dish is injera, a soft flatbread. People eat food together from one large plate, using injera instead of forks. Sharing food shows friendship and respect.
